Some of our readers may already know that Valli Opticians have teamed up with the Brass Factor, one of the UK’s most anticipated brass band events. The Brass Factor promotes Yorkshire’s cultural heritage and champions the brass band movement. The Brass Factor has taken the humble brass band competition by storm and has given it a talent show twist, winning awards along the way.

We at Valli Opticians are delighted to be a Brass Factor sponsor. The link between Valli Opticians and Brass Factor came about because several of our staff play musical instruments and are members of local brass bands. We also noticed that a lot of brass band members have sight related issues and need regular checks to make sure they can read their music.

Managing Director Moin Valli said “We are really excited about sponsoring Brass Factor because like us it is a fast growing Yorkshire company. We hope to create awareness in the music world about the importance of good eye health as well as spread the word about the enjoyment of brass bands.”

Sponsoring the Brass Factor also provides us with another opportunity to raise funds for our chosen charity, the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, who offer much needed support to children with life limiting conditions and their families.

The Brass Factor 2015 will take place at two Yorkshire locations, the first at the Engine Shed, Wetherby, Saturday 31st October and then at Holmfirth Picturedrome on Saturday 14th November.
