Serving up a fortnight of fun!

Valli Group of Opticians is hosting a two week long charity event in aid of Kirkwood Hospice.

The event runs in 5 Valli Group practices in Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Hebden Bridge throughout 25th of June to 8th July, also known as Wimbledon Fortnight.

All proceeds of the tennis themed activities will go to local charity, Kirkwood Hospice, which provides specialist care, free of charge, to people in Kirklees with advanced, progressive illnesses.  They are aiming to raise £3 million to redevelop the in-patient unit.

Customers of the Valli Group of Opticians can expect the usual professional eye care and family friendly service while enjoying the staple Wimbledon delicacies of strawberries and cream, Pimms and lemonade and Robinsons squash.

Customers will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle for the duration of the fortnight with fantastic prizes ranging from Wimbledon Sunglasses to a bottle of Pimms to prizes donated by other local businesses.

There is also an opportunity of an amazing one off discount of £20 off Wimbledon Sunglasses. What’s more, for every pair of Wimbledon Sunglasses sold, the Valli Group in conjunction with Rodenstock will donate a further £5 to Kirkwood Hospice.

Moin Valli, owner of the Valli Group said:

“We’re really looking forward to our Wimbledon Fortnight charity event. All the staff are really getting into the spirit of it by decorating the practices and dressing up in tennis outfits.

We hope everyone in the area will pop into one of our practices to help us make the event a success and raise a lot of cash for such a worthy local cause.
