Welcome to Valli in Lockwood Huddersfield. Established in Lockwood for over 60 years, the practice has evolved into the modern, vibrant place it is today without losing focus on individual care and fantastic customer service. Our patients are greeted with a friendly face and a cup of tea or coffee and time is taken to get to know them.

We are situated in a prominent position near the traffic lights at Lockwood bar with free parking directly outside the premises. The large, modern practice offers a fabulous range of designer eye wear, luxurious optical brands and a stylish yet affordable range of budget frames. We are official stockists of RayBan, Swarovski, Ted Baker and Cath Kidston.

Our appointments are longer and we use the latest eye care technology and equipment including retinal photography. Our experienced optometrists take the time to explain the eye test clearly and offer advice on a range of eye-related problems and conditions.

For patients who are unable to visit the practice we offer a domiciliary service and our optometrists can provide an eye examination and spectacles in the comfort of the patient’s home.

We offer a full contact lens service from fittings to checks and a regular delivery service. The Valli VIP Plan is tailored to the individual and offers great benefits including unlimited check-ups and 25% off spectacles.

Valli Opticians Lockwood specialises in colorimetry which helps people with reading difficulties, such as visual stress (Meares-Irlen Syndrome) and dyslexia, to see better.  We offer a complete service from the rate of reading test, coloured overlays to precision tinted spectacles.  Our optometrists are highly trained in this specialist service and are happy to help with any queries.

We really care about eye health and provide NHS appointments to help manage a number of eye conditions. We are part of the CUES scheme, which means people can visit us rather than their GP or hospital if they are experiencing sudden pain, discomfort, redness, changes or flashes of light in their vision and any other eye related symptoms. Anyone can access this service and it is funded by the NHS so there is no cost to the patient and appointments can be booked at short notice.

We offer full corporate eye care services and provide both on and off site services for a number of our clients in Huddersfield.  We specialise in providing eye care for both office based staff and safety eye wear for staff working on shop floors and in factories.
